Apollo 12, launched on November 14, 1969 was strucked by lightning during the first minute of flight, performed the second human landing on the Moon. Commander Pete Conrad and LMP Alan Bean landed the Lunar Module "Intrepid" in the Ocean of Storms, 535 feet from the robotic Surveyor 3 lander.
Conrad and Bean were on the Lunar surface for more than 30 hours and performed two EVAs in 7 hours and 27 minutes.
