Hindenburg Zeppelin (rigid airship) LZ 129 flown metal structure sample mounted onto an 8x6 presentation card, certified on the backside.
The Hindenburg was built between 1931 and 1936 and made its maiden voage on March 4th 1936 with 87 passengers. It was destroyed 14 months later on may 6th 1937 while attempting to land at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in New Jersey.
The attached structure material was recovered after the disaster.
